View the large variety of flowering annual
and perennial plans, shrubs and bushes, from both professional growers
and members' garderns. There will be heirloom species along with a large
selection of herbs and vegetables. We will also have a selection of proch
and patio containers.
The cafe will once again be offering home
baked treats and hearthside tea. A wide variety of OBHS publications
and framed items will also be available for purchase.
As always, it is best to arrive early! We
do hope to see you there.
ANNUAL MEETING MAY 4
Our annual meeting will take place on May
4, 2008 at 4:00 pm.
There will be a short discussion about the
continuing work at the society, followed by the election of officers
for the coming year. The slate of officers to be presented by the nominating
committee are as follows:

James Douglas from Sturbridge, Mass. Mr. Douglas is an historian and
balladeer and a frequent perfomer at Old Sturbridge Village and Mystic
Seaport.
PAST EVENTS
2007 OBHS Christmas Gift Sale
The museum held a special holiday gift sale
this past December. The main museum building was open for browsing and
we offered live telephone shopping during the hours of the sale.
Among
our treasures for purchase were small, beautiful signed prints of the
Keith House, prints of the First Church of the Bridgewaters,
and a small 1839 colored map prints of Massachusetts.

Annual Herb and Plant Sale 2007
UPDATE: Even though we were rained out on the originally
scheduled day, we made up for it and the event was a grand success! Thank
you to all who attended.

EVENT UPDATE: We were pleased to invite the members and
friends of the OBHS to a Wine Tasting on Sunday, February 11, 2007.
The theme was "Heartfelt
Thanks"and we do indeed thank all of the members and friends who
attended and made the event a success.
